Crisiscore
Building the country's first AI-powered disaster management system
I presented CrisiScore's prototype to Major General Khandkar Shahidul Emran and Lt. Colonel Rezaul Karim, two leaders who actually understand what disaster preparedness means on the ground. This isn't some hackathon project I'll abandon next month. I'm targeting 2027 for completion because building a legitimate disaster management tool requires serious database architecture and real-world validation, not rushed features.
The pitch went better than expected. They gave us expert feedback on enhancing the AI capabilities and acknowledged that using machine learning for community resilience is actually worth pursuing. My teammate Ishtear Hossain helped translate our complex algorithms into language that made sense to the military leadership, which was crucial for getting their support.
This project matters because when disasters hit, people need systems that actually work under pressure. I'm building something that could genuinely help communities respond faster and smarter when crisis strikes, and having military endorsement this early means we're on the right track.
